Reciently, i've started moding other games (mostly FTL and From the depths) and i want to find the sound files for the weapons in dawn of war (i love the sound of autocannons and heavy bolters and i want them for moding other games) but when looking in the folders for the game on steam, i can't find any files, sound or otherwise, other than the simple data files. ugh, help? The tools from DoW_Sound_Export from the moddb forum on Ultimate Apocalypse tutorial can rapidly convert the game's fda files, to aifc and then to wav. Following this you can then convert the files to your heart's content. The way I got this to work was extracting the 10 included exe and cmd files into a folder, copying in any number blogger.com The sound files are all packed in an SGA file in the Dawn of War 2/Game Assets/Locale/English folder, so I had to download an SGA reader to get the files out of there.
